Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Review

Gemma’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″ Review

I rather enjoyed Harry Potter, as it has been better than all of the others, however I don’t think it has been as good as some of the other films I have watched recently.

I didn’t enjoy it as much, because it was split into two halves, and a lot more of the book was missed out in the film, making it less enjoyable.

The effects were good, even though they were used quite a bit, as there was quite a lot going on.

The majority of the film was just story, leading up to fights, which I found quite boring.

I’m not sure I would want to go back and watch the film again in a rush, but I would love to see the second part as it should sum up this one, and will hopefully be better.

I give this film at 6/ 10.

Sam’s Review of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″

The movie kept me entertained all the way through with its stunning animations and brilliant action scenes.

It had a much darker plot than earlier movies in the series but retained the same great standard of acting.

The ending really draws you in for the next movie, I’m definitely looking forward to part 2!

This Harry Potter movie had action scenes all the way through, including an amazing fight scene very near the beginning with several characters dieing and a very inventive ‘gun fight’ styled scene in a cafe.

There’s also a brilliant action scene at the end where it seems as if all is lost, but Harry’s short house elf shaped friend manages to save the day.

The final death at the end was very sad and brought a tear to many peoples eyes (although I found the scene to be quite humorous and I laughed) :)

Matt’s review of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″

it is getting strange with movies nowadays that you’re so used to the effects being good and looking realistic that you just expect it, but somehow this one still manages to look fresh and have great effects, the chase scene through the woods was very well done, and the brusining to Harry’s face seemed particularly well done!

There weren’t any real suprises or twists in the plotline (and no, I’d not read the book). Ron buggering off for a while wasn’t much of a twist as you knew it was just a matter of timing for him to pop back up, and obviously it was a very “useful” time when he did, perhaps a little too predictible, but still fairly well done.

There seemed to be more “ooh” and “ah”‘s from the audience from Harry going in to the icy cold water than the snake attack, lol!

Ron dissappearance did give the opportunity for an excellent comedy moment in Harry trying to dance, and then once he was back Hermiony torturing him for having left.

These actors are now very good at playing the roles, but then they have been doing the same roles so long they’re very comforatble with the characters and it probably doesn’t feel much like acting… and the dynamics between the characters does work!

There were also some great moments in their visit to the ministry of magic, both action and humor. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable movie, the 2 hours passed a lot quicker than I expected and I’m really looking forward to the last one…
